What is a MemBox?

An online URL linked by our engraved QR Code to let buyers and recipients reminisce about something special.

We know that the beauty of our precious memories can't always be fully captured with just urban map etching. That's why we're rolling out a fresh batch of urban map products featuring a cool engraved QR code. This QR code takes you straight to a permanent URL, hosting your map, custom message, and a gallery – we like to call it the "Memory Box." It's the perfect spot for everyone involved to kick back and comment.

Write the meaningful story behind the etched product.
An interactive urban map you etch in your physical product will show up in the MemBox. It will also point to a few locations marked by your pictures.
You can upload a few images to amplify the recollection. Pictures from mobile phones may include a GPS coordinate; if so, it will appear on the interactive map.
Chat with your group recipients or invite others to join the conversation. Making an account to use the comment tool is not required.
If, by any chance, anyone would like to order the same etched product, they will have the information on the page.
Each MemBox will appear on our site & search engine, but you can switch the access code on/off. Each QR comes with an pre-built access code to unlock the image & story on your membox.

Each URL lasts for 6 months and gets renewed every time someone uses the same MemBox for their order.

There is no additional charge to obtain a MemBox URL, and you can use it for both personal and commercial purposes.

Each MemBox allows up to 3 images, and if location data exists, each image will point to a map.

You can create 10 inactive MemBoxes to prepare for future orders, while there's no limit on the active ones.

How To Order MemBox-Compatible Product

1 - Get your design code.

Ensure you use the correct design tool for the physical product you want, as each MemBox is attached to a specific product and its map.

Each MemBox can only point to one etched product.
To deliver the best experience to non-buying recipients, we do not allow any changes.

2 - Create your MemBox

Create a new MemBox using the dashboard and use the resulting MemBox ID when making your glass/tumbler purchase.

Unless your MemBox is currently used in an active order, you can always make a request; it may take a few days to complete.
Your MemBox webpage will stop showing detailed information, it will appear similar to a private membox without access key. To delete the URL, you need to delete your MemBox. You can extend its lifespan for $1 per URL per year.
You can always keep the access code on to hide images and stories from the general public. The title, owner, and comments will remain visible. You cannot change the code itself as it is built into the QR that comes with our engraved product.
We can make the post anonymous.

3 - Purchase your item

In the personalization field, simply copy and paste the MemBox ID if the product supports it. Easy peasy! The process remains the same whether you're ordering on Etsy or our homepage.

We do not approve each MemBox, but we may make it private to protect good vibes and keep our site faithful & family-friendly. We might decline or refund your etching order if your MemBox contains explicit content like adult stuff, brain-twisting stuff, badmouthing, criminal vibes, or anything harmful. We're working on some community guidelines to keep things groovy in the future!
To deliver a consistent and genuine message to non-buying recipients, we do not allow post-purchase editing. Each MemBox is permanent once made active unless the law requires us to remove it.
